BALLSY INNOVATION |

No more rolling around on the gym floor...
Thanks to the new BOSU Ballast Ball that stays put. Taking the fit ball one step further, the BOSU Ballast Ball contains a weighted load that makes it one of the most versatile exercise tools around. You can lift it, shift it, shake it, or use it as a workbench.
The weighted material (also known as DSL or Dynamic Stabilizing Load) shifts as you move, thereby creating a more dynamic resistance during lifting and shifting. This, in turn, promotes enhanced integration and fluidity of movement. The BOSU Ballast Ball introduces a variety of new exercises and allows for better execution of a wide variety of seated, side-lying and travelling exercises involving dumbbells, kettlebells and medicine balls.
You saw them first at Virgin Active!
Always on the forefront of innovation, Virgin Active is the first health club to introduce the BOSU Ballast Ball.

The ball will be introduced initially within the
Virgin Active "Fast Class" concept - a free, instructor led 15-minute session on the
gym floor, open to all members, providing an array of exciting new short duration
workouts to keep members motivated and provide variety to their training.
Personal trainers are also taking advantage of the benefits of this new ball. Unlike
non-weighted balls, the BOSU Ballast Ball allows the trainer to put a client in a
stable position with or without additional exercise platforms. Because it is stable,
the ball can serve as a portable seat or dynamic work station with any type of
strength or functional training equipment.
Go on, have a ball!
