Love your good bits - lose your bad bits… |
 |
Sometimes a little extra padding here and there is attractive, even sexy. But sometimes it’s a source of embarrassment, low self-esteem, and even health consequences in the most serious cases. That’s when it becomes a problem.
We can’t all look like supermodels. In fact, it’s not even healthy to try. So the best thing you can do for your body is accept it – both good bits and bad - and work with your natural shape to look, and feel, the very best you can.
As part of a targeted series of articles, this month we’re focusing on moobs and muffin tops; some of the UK’s most popular (or unpopular) ‘bad bits’ – to share our top tips on how to beat ‘em!
Moobs got you in a mood?
Pectoral perfection can be yours with all the latest Technogym® equipment, plus weighty innovations like HumanSport™ (currently available in Solihull,

Moorgate, Wandsworth, Islington and soon, Milton Keynes), Kettlebells™, the Free Motion Cable Cross, and Technogym Radiant. Or, you can power through the pool with a few lengths, drop into some good old-fashioned press-ups, or take part in a yoga class to get the chiselled chest of your dreams.
Muffin top got you down?

Gain weight
For men and women, the best way to make a dramatic difference to your body shape is to combine strength and resistance training with aerobic exercise. That means plenty of weights and free weights to build up your muscles, and regular yoga and Pilate’s classes to dramatically tone, trim and firm your entire body.
Lose the excuses
If you’re serious about giving your bad bits the boot, you need to devise an exercise programme that you can actually stick to. So here’s how to make exercise a daily habit:
- Exercise at the same time every day, so it becomes part of your routine. Put it
in your diary as a daily appointment so you don’t forget!
- Book a few personal training sessions to tailor your approach exactly to your needs,
and add structure and intensity into your workout so you reach your goals faster.
- If you’re not already a member, join a health club! Being part of an inspiring exercise
environment and committing to pay regular visits to the gym, means you’re more likely
to make it part of your daily schedule.
Learn to love
Whatever your goal is in the gym, the important thing is to have fun with your body. So make time for a trip to the spa. Treat yourself to a beauty treatment or massage in HeavenV. Or reward a hard workout with a snack and drink in the V-Café with free Internet. It’s these healthy indulgences that will keep your workout varied – and keep you coming back for more!
