Move to the new rhythm of the Virgin Active Nike Rockstar Dancehall Workout and boogie like a rock star!

Spring 2007 saw the launch of our innovative new group exercise class, bringing Jamaican popular music and movement together to create the hottest trend in cardiovascular fitness dance. Following on from the success of the Nike Rockstar Hip Hop and Bollywood workouts, Virgin Active is introducing the third Nike Rockstar class into its clubs nationwide from March onwards.

Created by one of the worlds most renowned choreographers Jamie King and inspired by music videos and dancehall queens, the Nike Rockstar Dancehall Workout will leave you feeling like a star taking part in a dance rehearsal.

You don't have to be a Beyoncé to enjoy the likes of a dance rehearsal with rock star moves! You can learn the dance sequence bit by bit, whatever your dance ability or fitness level.

The workout comprises of a combination of dancehall moves including the Butterfly, the Bogle, the Blaze Blaze, the Pon, the River, Pon the Bank, and the Dutty Wine, all of which test your fitness to the limit burning calories while strengthening the core and leg muscles. There are no limits to your performance - just relax, get moving and shake off the pressures of the day.
