The Indoor Triathlon Fast Class may be quick (just 30 minutes!), but it’s an awesome way to fit a serious workout into a hectic schedule.
The class is run across all 122 clubs and takes place both in the studio and on the gym floor. As you’ve probably guessed, the aim is to provide specific training that’ll whip you into peak shape for a Tri. It’s handily broken up into 4 key areas to complement the rest of your tri training (this is the actual swimming, biking and running you should be doing).
First, you’ll get your muscles switched on and warmed up with some dynamic stretching. You’ll then move on to a balance matrix, which’ll boost your mobility and strengthen your foot, ankle and calf muscles. After this, the hard work begins!
The third section of the class is a Circuit that focuses on power, two back-to-back leg sets and core strengthening. These circuits are fantastic at mimicking the fatigue you’ll face during your race. Finally comes the team-trial section, where the class is split into opposing groups to help get that competitive mindset going.
When the graft is over, you’ll get a full warm-down stretch and be well on your way to tip-top Tri conditioning. Don’t worry if you’re not ready to take on a full Triathlon yet, because we’ve got our shorter, quicker Indoor Triathlon in clubs this November!
