Summer’s just around the corner, which means that for a good number of us, we’ll soon be dreaming up weird and wonderful ways of spending time in the great outdoors. The bike leg comes in the middle of a triathlon and is generally the bit people look forward to most. There is none of the stress of getting dunked during the swim or the worry about completing the run - just jump on the bike and you’ll be off and running before you know it – what could be easier?

Are these the only membership types you have available?
We have shown the most popular membership types and prices. But we have a variety of different packages to suit your circumstances including special rates for our junior members, off peak packages and over 55 memberships. They vary by club, so please ask your membership team for more details.
Where do I collect my Virgin Active membership card?
Your card will be ready to collect at your home club. If it’s not ready as soon as you are, we’ll issue you with a temporary card while you wait.
Do I need to bring anything with me when I join?
We’ll need proof of identity (driver’s licence or passport) and proof of your banking details (a cancelled cheque, bank statement or electronic pay slip). If you’re a corporate member, please bring some corporate I.D. as well.
What should I wear to the gym?
Wear light, comfortable clothing that’s breathable and allows you to move freely. Please ensure that your choice of clothing doesn’t make other members feel uncomfortable. Members cannot work out topless and closed-toe shoes (cross trainers or running shoes) must be worn in the gym at all times.
Are there any costs other than the membership fee?
There is a one-off joining fee, which varies per club. Your Membership Team will let you know what this is. Other than that, the only other costs are for additional services such as personal training, guest passes, and health and beauty treatments.
Will there be any support to help me get started?
Of course! We offer as much or as little support as our members need. All new joiners are entitled to a free Quick Start session, which gives you one-hour of expert fitness advice – and you’ll walk away with a personalised training plan.
