Club closure announcement
The following clubs are now operated by Nuffield Health and are therefore no longer available to use by Virgin Active members: Birmingham Edgbaston, Ilford, Gloucester, Guildford, Manchester Printworks, Milton Keynes, Taunton, Tunbridge Wells and Wolverhampton.
Connectivity: The world at your fingertips
We’ve recently invested £64k in upgrading the online connectivity of the cardio equipment in our Classic Clubs. Coming this summer, they’ll feature super-fast fibre broadband, meaning that while you work out, you’ll have the world at your fingertips.
We have five awesome new ways to put you through your paces.
Add some athletic total-body conditioning to your workout with our Fitness 5 – the very latest, cutting-edge equipment. You’ll now find Bulgarian Bags, TRX Rip Trainers, Battle Ropes, TiYR and Plyo Boxes on the gym floor, to give you a workout like never before.
Speedo swim event at Virgin Active Fulham
Head over to Fulham Virgin Active on 2nd August to take part in our Swim Experience training day, in partnership with Speedo. There are three different training sessions on offer, focusing on speed, endurance and technique. We’ll also be joined by Olympic 10k open water bronze medallist, Cassie Patten, who’ll be giving top open water coaching tips. It’s completely free for members, but places are limited, so book now by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure you don’t miss out.
Say hello to Ugi
Ugi is the latest high-intensity class to arrive at Virgin Active. Grab a Ugi ball and take part in 30 exercises designed to improve your strength, cardio and core. They’re soft and squishy on the outside, but these weighted balls leave no muscle untouched.
Our sauna will be closed from Monday morning, 19 May, but will re-open on Tuesday evening, 20 May. Thank you for your patience during this closure - please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We're upgrading our air conditioning units at the club to help you stay cool while working up a sweat.
The upgrade works should take approximately two weeks to complete but once they're done, we'll have a nice, new supply of cool air to the gym floor and studios. Perfectly timed for the summer months.
Spa pool closure
Our spa pool will be closed for essential maintenance on Sunday 4 May for the entire day. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Your handy personal swimming coach.
Put a Swimtag on your wrist before you hit the water, and it will automatically record how many lengths you swim, your time, calories burnt, and even your stroke rate.
Even better, it’s completely free. Just borrow your Swimtag wristband from Reception.
