WOODWAY CURVE
DAY 1
THE FIRST STEP IS THE HARDEST
When I first got on this thing, I didn't know what to expect. I took a few steps and found it very different, No motors or buttons, just works on my own effort? That's nice and easy just get on and run.
"A fitness instructor came by and said I'd have an easier time if I picked up my knees, stopped looking at my feet, and cycled my legs a bit faster to keep up with the belt. Maybe I'll give it another go. I do like that I don't have to pick a speed or press any buttons. I can just… run."
DAY 15
FINDING MY RHYTHM
"Well, I hate to admit it but the fitness instructor was right — I think I might be getting the hang of this. Walking on the Curve is supposedly as effective as running on a regular treadmill; you don't have to tell me twice to slow my pace."
DAY 65
BORN TO RUN
"I've built my endurance up to a 10K and have started doing interval runs to mix things up. It really does feel like running outside on pavement — minus the possibility of getting cut short by the rain."
“I can actually keep up with my mates on the football field”
“It’s more than just cardio.”
"I hesitate to call myself an expert in anything other than supporting losing football clubs, but I have noticed some newbies studying me for a few minutes before trying the Curve themselves. My step is officially pepped."
