Looking for a plan for your children during the holidays? We know it’s not easy which is why we’re here to help. We’ve got plenty going on for our junior members (and their friends) even when school’s out.
We spoke to Lizzie Bullimore, our Head of Family Activities at Virgin Active Sheffield. She’s been a highly-experienced member of our team for over 15 years so it’s safe to say that she knows a thing or two about keeping the kids entertained over the holidays.
She’s here to tell us everything you need to know about a Club V Day Camp.
What is a Club V Day Camp?
On a Club V Day Camp it’s all about the kids. We’re here to encourage children to try new things and these fun-filled days are packed with plenty of activities to help them meet new friends.
Our camps are perfect for children aged 5 (Year 1 in Primary school) to 11 years, filled with sport activities, swim splash sessions and craft. We have pre-planned timetables so you can find the best day that suits your child – or choose something that encourages them out of their comfort zone.
We also offer half-day camps to keep your kids entertained while you get a few hours back for yourself!
What could a day at Club V look like?
Our camps are full of a variety of activities so every day is different. Here's a sneak peek of what a day could look like:
09:00 - 10:00 ~ "Active Sports", e.g. football skills
10:00 - 11:00 ~ Snack and "Active Creations", e.g. arts & crafts or messy play
11:00 - 12:00 ~ "Active Games", e.g. bingo & board game fun
12:00 - 13:00 ~ Lunch
13:00 - 14:00 ~ "Active Creations", e.g. arts & crafts, messy play or a cooking activities (i.e. chocorice cereal cakes)
14:00 - 15:00 ~ "Active Splash", e.g. poolside fun
15:00 - 16:00 ~ Snack and "Active Games", e.g. Big A softplay
16:00 - 17:00 ~ "Active Sports", e.g. circuit runaround

What’s more, our camps are great value for money as we host a variety of different sports and activities in our OFSTED-registered Club V with qualified team members. So, you know your child will be in safe and capable hands.
Got friends? Our Day Camps are open to non-members too which means that your child and their friends can play together all day!
