Active Light

Easy twinkle toes. You might be raring to go, but as a new kid on the block, you might want to take it easy, just until you get warmed up.

Active Plus+

Energetic and frisky, you sure know your way around the gym, and can give most a run for their money.

Active Pro

You’re a force to be reckoned with. With your eyes on the prize, the rest of the class better watch out.

The only competition you see is you. So set your own speed, and race yourself to the finish line.

Enjoy the benefits of altitude training without climbing a single mountain in our amazing Apex studio, where the air is equivalent to 3000m above sea level, similar to Val D’isere and other ski resorts.

‘Apex HIIT’ training is designed to challenge and improve cycling and running performance through set speed and hill interval sessions. Set at 3000m altitude, this specially built performance room houses ½ hour classes using Watt Bikes and Woodway 4Front treadmills along with real time heart rate intensity feedback to make this the most credible setting to develop aerobic and anaerobic fitness.

Why? They use the information to ensure you get into the right training zone, challenging you to the max. Don’t worry, you’ll be working out with like-minded people and listening to motivating music, which makes half an hour fly by. When it’s over, the instructor emails your performance stats so you can see how well you’re doing and where to focus next time.

Here’s a quick reminder how altitude training works: air is thinner the higher you go and lower oxygen levels mean you make more red blood cells. Your heart and lungs work harder to adapt so you end up moving and using oxygen more efficiently, making you stronger. No wonder elite athletes like Mo Farah and Bradley Wiggins head for the heights to gain that competitive edge.

So whether you simply want to feel fitter, train for a triathlon or acclimatise before a holiday, give Apex HIIT a go.
Please attend the Altitude Induction to do this class.

Arrive five minutes early for the first class so we can set up your bike.

Please note: Be sure to tell the instructor if you have any medical problems, take medication, are pregnant or feel ill on a plane.
